Jai Hind College in Mumbai has introduced a new exciting Three-year Bachelor’s degree program from the academic year 2025-26 called – Bachelors in Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance (BAQF).

Bachelors in Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance (BAQF) is an interdisciplinary under-graduate program that will focus on the following parameters:

  • Year 1 and Year 2: These two years the students will develop core foundation in mathematics, statistics, financial analysis, economics, and data analytics.

  • Year 3: Student gets an opportunity to specialization in either of the two options—Actuarial Science or Quantitative Finance.

Eligibility criteria for Bachelors in Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance (BAQF) at Jai Hind College Mumbai:

  • Student from any stream - science, commerce or arts can apply provided they have taken mathematics as a subject in class 12th.

  • Student should have passed class 12th exam of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any other Board and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of Reserved Category) at one and the same sitting.

Admission Process for Bachelors in Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance (BAQF) at Jai Hind College Mumbai:

  • Admissions will be on basis of merit only.

  • Intake is of 60 seats

  • There is no in house quota for this course as it is a self-financed course.

  • Selection for admission will be on the cumulative basis of the following three parameters:

    • Marks scored in the Jai Hind College Common Entrance Exam (JHC-CEE)

    • Marks obtained in Mathematics and/or Statistics in the Class 12th board examination

    • Performance in a Personal Interview round conducted by Jai Hind College (Personal Interview will be conducted in the week immediate after the JHCCEE Exam)
